I found a piece of metal in the sand
It must have been washed up on this land
It seems to have come from an ancient time
From a place before - before it’s prime
Maybe there was life?
And maybe there was eloquence
However, cut out by the knife
Buried words from sentences
Prime
On a backbeat of time
Lack of confidence
Before its prime
This race had to climb
The sky highest mountain
It says Kalashnikov, written on it
Maybe some kind of creature won it
It’s got the shape of a burden to bear
Can’t figure it out, how to use it
Maybe there was life?
And maybe there was eloquence
However, cut out by the knife
Another day goes by
As we die
We will stay below the ground
Not to be found (we will stay)
The silence of our kind
Our collective mind
We never reached our prime
Anoraknophobia by Marillion is actually among my favorite albums ever made, and this live version of it holds really strong versions of those songs with Steve Hogarth bursting his heart out as usual. Greyfox Agenda
Steven Wilson and his Hand. Cannot. Erase album... wow, this is just pure emotive progressive rock of highest caliber! Producer genius and a major influence for Greyfox Agenda! Greyfox Agenda
I received this as a surprise present by the band for pre-ordering the upcoming album, so thanks a lot to you, too :-))
As could be expected by Pat Sanders & Co, highly melodic prog that should, for instance, appeal too friends of Fish-era Marillion (although Uncle Fish would never have reached those high notes ;-) ) and some instrumentals (from beautiful miniatures like Bubbles to the more epic Last Supper). Among many other fine things offered here, I especially love Pat's piano playing! Carsten Pieper
